So your most favorite Comeback Girl in all the world (moi) is tempted to make a ringy dingy (call) to VH1’s NYC office to ask if this show is slightly scripted, because reality could not be this damn funny.

Stage left: Pep enters Salt’s house (with kids) while the remodeling of her first home and decorating of her second city apartment is underway. (“how much do reality stars make ?” will be my next post-because my calculator gets stuck when I add all the upcomming reunion dates (NONE) plus re-releases of albums (that would be ZERO). Pep loads the Hummer with weeks and weeks of clothing, house plants, furs and one large half naked self-portrait. Salt grows sick of the noise and surprise piano instructors for Pep’s little girl and has a “you aint gotta go home but you got to get the hell out of here” melt down. (Curtains)

Stage right: Salt has her prayer group over. Pep offers to clean up and ready herself in all her Forever 21 finest. At every biblical scripture pause-Pep finds a way to interject and relate the passage to her relationship with Salt. The prayer group is intrigued and caught in the middle. Salt and Pep make up.

(The End)

**audience claps: Comeback Girl wonders if the “odd couple” relationship provides the best growth and mirror to the soul. Comeback Girl snaps out of personal reflection and goes to bed.

Last night had Salt on the hunt for a mighty mighty mighty good man for Pep.

They consulted one of the most unconventional matchmakers I had ever seen (not that I’ve actually SEEN a matchmaker), but most have been portrayed as middle-aged chubby white women with a penchant for smoking. I guess a new day is coming because their matchmaker looked like a sexy Calvin Klein model who may have also been in some type of boy band back in the day and now needed a “real job”.

I’ve heard some bloggers characterize Salt & Pep’s relationship as the odd couple. I think in real life its not so, well so odd, but great contrast makes for great television.

Comeback Girl thinks that though Salt is well intentioned, she needs to back off a little. Pep didn’t get the same epiphany that she had when she found Jesus and left the group. Comeback Girl also believes that there are great single men walking this green earth, but they may not all be in a former boy band-meets matchmaker’s office.

Lastly, maybe Treach from Naughty by Nature loved the forever 21 look, but in your late 30s (clothes for teens and young adults) may not be the best date look for the investment banker you’re trying to snag. (even one with a slight edge)

::::see Comeback Girl had to take a sigh when she wrote the last paragraph cause she is not mean, (though crazy as hell talking about herself in the third person) just trying to be helpful.

So if you have Comcast cable you can see what appears to be the first episode of Vh-1’s Salt -n -Pepa (On Demand)to air this coming Monday Oct, 15.

Hopefully Salt and Pep will be able to find the balance between their assigned raunchy and prudish roles. I do believe some of the characterizations are exaggerated between both ladies to make artistic points. Salt plays the holy roller who ran to religion for some sense of normalcy and maybe forgiveness.

Pep plays the woman feverishly hanging on to her 20s to play out all that Salt-N-Pepa was robbed of when Salt decided abruptly that she didn’t want the group anymore some ten years ago.

And since Salt has pretty much nixed all the songs with suggestive content, not sure how many songs they will actually be able to perform. Though Salt is sometimes a little hard on Pep, I do think that women of a certain age ( 30 something-me included) should not have “Push It Real Good” as apart of their everyday performing repertoire.
