I’ve seen this Why Did I Get Married Too trailer. I’m glad it’s the same cast but this sequel looks crazy.
I had a good weekend. Didn’t do much…a LOT of TV watching.
Friday night we got carry out & watched the Rihanna interview. Saturday I did absolutely nothing & loved every moment of it. By absolutely nothing I mean watched OSU vs. Penn State & a lot of the debates in the House on C-Span. It was unseasonably warm and gorgeous out so I sat outside & called a few friends…a couple of hours later, I was finally caught up on phone calls.
Sunday church and hung out with friends later in the day and when we got home I watched Unsung Bootsy Collins & Khloe & Lamar’s wedding special.

@Comeback… Nobody is going to kill the high except me…… I did A LOT this weekend and didn’t get in bed at a decent time last night considering I was gonna be waking up at 5:15 this morning….. If anything it was going to be exhaustion that was gonna kill my high.
How is that I can drive 2 hours drop somebody off at school in another city on my way and still make it to work on time? But yet I’m late every day when my commute is only 30 minutes… LOL

I’m still on the job hunt after ending my internship on Friday. Taking a slight break from the laptop because you can become fatigued looking for a job. Will do some networking today and go to the free day at the aquarium. Must get started on my DC and Dallas networking.
Who saw “Precious” this weekend? I did and it was cool but I wasn’t crying in the theater. I had deja vu moments because the movie takes place in 1987 and I recognized some my clothing and accessories that I used to rock in the movie. As with a usual Lee Daniels’ movie stars was just popping up like Lenny Kravitz in the movie.

I’m the same way. When I used to go to Columbus more on the weekends, I would get up early to drive back and make it to work at 8. That’s like 45 minutes before I make it here now. I was like oh no this isn’t going to work, so I would start stopping for breakfast. I didn’t want them to start thinking coming in on time was a regular occurence. Lol
@Comeback: I watched TOO much TV this weekend. I’m sure both Bootsy and Khloe & Lamar will be on again…and again…and again.

don’t have TVONE here and I wanted to see Unsung and Life After. I did see AL Reynolds, Omarosa and Eva Marceille. I missed the first hour of Khloe’s wedding but as usual Kim was trying to get the spotlight. I bet by January she will be pregnant too. Felt sorry for Lamar because most of his immediate family is deceased. I hope that those two make it.

@CBG- I can’t believe it isn’t in DC yet!! Folks said that the movie would make you cry but it didn’t make me cry at all. I was happy..happy for Monique because I saw her at a club on comedy night for $5 back in 1994 and she sat down at the bar and talked with me and my friends and let us know that night that this was just the beginning but she had big plans for herself. She did the d–n thang in that movie!
The great thing about Chicago is that they have a lot of free days for many sites here in the city. Due to the recession they have increased the free days at most sites. Kool Aid man wants to visit so I’m going because I’ve never been plus I’m into cultural things. So far I’ve probably saved over $200 in admission fees going to free days. Heck I saved about $35 going to the Museum Science and Industry last week. Plan to go to the Field Museum and the Mexican Museum of Art tomorrow.
If you have a Bank of America account (I do) they will let into museums for free on certain days…check on their site.
Let me bounce because ALDI is hiring and I need to be there to get a management position. Heck they pay more than the industry I’m trying to break into…..

@BGrits… I am pretty sure…… I don’t know if y’all caught my post on my blog about the Tyler Perry play I seen yesterday. But I enjoyed that play because it wasn’t about a message necessarily being forced down your throat but it was more so allowing you an escape from whatever is going on in your personal life. And how sometimes you may have to laugh to definitely keep from crying….Just knowing that overall purpose was to get people to enjoy themselves in the moment and forget about what’s going on outside made it very enjoyable for me. I definitely recommend it.

As for this weekend. Friday night – Sushi and plum wine with my friend! YAYYY!! Then we went over another friends house to continue the festivitites, where I think I agreed to start/participate in a book club. LOL. This should be interesting.
Saturday – Cleaned up. Ran around with my mama and the mama to be. Stepped out briefly Saturday night. Sunday laid around watching football, made some groceries (shout out to New Orleans folks), came back home, entertained a few random skits and passed out
