So for the first time in a long time. I’m writing about stuff that excites me, not just stuff that I think the treehouse likes. I mean of course my Comebackers are important, but I believe that being truly passionate about your subject matter evokes some type of passion in others. So on this gratitude Friday, I grateful for my different strokes. I’m grateful that there’s nothing mindless about what I’m creating. I’m grateful that as I write, that I’m getting to really know and appreciate who I am. The upside, is that there are people along the way with whom my message resonates.
And finally that I’ve found my different stroke to move the world.

I do have to say I’m grateful that I’m different too. It mixes life up.
A specific episode: “Once Upon A Time” from The Cosby Show, my favorite episode as a child. It’s the episode where Rudy tells a fairy tale of bad people invading a town of good people … she ends the story by telling the bad people to stop … and they stop. … That’s what I feel like I’m trying to do. Though that ish will never happen … lol.

1. MEN- because they know how to use logic and not run off of emotion 24/7. I got put in check this week and had it not been for the men in my life the situation wouldn’t have turned out like it did.

Rap-rockers N.E.R.D. and pop singer Jesse McCartney will perform at one of the free concerts during Final Four weekend in Detroit.
The NCAA and the local organizing committee announced Tuesday the final musical headliners for the event, which will take place Friday-Sunday, April 3-5, on the city’s riverfront.
N.E.R.D. will headline Friday’s concert, which will feature McCartney. Saturday’s lineup features the Pussycat Dolls and Gavin DeGraw. On Sunday, “American Idol” star Ryan Seacrest will host the day’s activities, including performances from Fergie, Staind and Gym Class Heroes.

It’s funny how I find time to comment on this blog now that I’m working as opposed to the many months I wasn’t…hmm…
Anyway, if I had to choose a sitcom that most represents my life right now, I too, would choose the Office. And I know this isn’t a sitcom but I would choose Survivor combination with the Office. What can I say, I’m a fan of reality TV. In all my jobs, I always think about who I would vote off if I had the chance and who would be left standing if we had the opportunity.
As for my theme song, in light of some man issues, I choose Adele’s “Chasing Pavements.” Although I choose not to go down the path that “leads nowhere”, this song just solidifies my decision to keep walking and wait for the better God has for me.

Well I’ve been sick off and on for the last six weeks. I had a bad episode of pain that started last Thursday. I was able to get the pain under control but the other stuff like the coughing, no energy, shortness of breath is till carrying on.

But I’m the stupid one that stays with them…But with the iphone out, I may have to just pay this fee and get out of my contract OR put my prepaid legal benefits to the test and see if they can get me out of it. The midwest is funny like that. Its crazy how different parts of the south migrated to certain cities. It seems like everyone from Mississippi and Arkansas went to Chicago, Milwaukee, and Gary. In Detroit it seems like the majority of people came from the southeast. But for the most part southerners went everywhere up here. Sometimes you can tell how long someone’s family has been up here. I got friends born and raised in Detroit that sound and act like they are from Alabama. Their parents were born and raised in the south.

Not really. It’s cool as a finishing move in a leg workout, but it doesn’t work much of the leg musculature.
Picture someone you can’t stand, and you get one free shot to kick them as hard as you can. In what direction can you kick harder: swinging your legs front to back, or side to side? That’s the best way I can explain how useless that machine is. Stick to squats, lunges, and the leg press. You can probably do one set of the hip abductor at the end of your workout.

I like it a lot. Im still trying to find the exact schedule that works for me, but so far I do the ab workouts every other day and the legs and back on the other days. I havent done any of the cardio exercises yet since I still run at the gym. Its exhausting but rewarding, I’ve already shed a little weight on my targeted trouble area.
I love to read about the Black migration North back then… There is this book that I absolutely adore: Rush Home Road by Lori Lansens, about a settlement of Blacks in Canada… I highly recommand. It’s just a beautiful and touching story.

I got a question for you. Right now I have bonked. I haven’t been to the gym since Wednesday. I am having a hard time waking up too. I am not sure if it’s my body adjusting from the 5 days I spent last week on the West Coast or I just need to rest. I should I chill or should I take some kind of supplement? I take vitamins already.

I wouldn’t worry about additional supplements since it’s only two days back. It’s really hard to tell because I don’t know your normal sleep schedule, but time zone differences can mess with your circadian rhythms.
If anyone else has questions, e-mail me. I have a two hour meeting to go to. Yay.

@ V..i actually wouldn’t mind it for 90 days…if my muscles could memorize the confusion and then i go back to “normal” gym activity of 4 days a week 40 min cardio and 20 min strength training..
but hells to the nawl if i had to do this forever.

I think its the top 5 films of all time..cinematography wise its up there with Citizen Kane..which to me is and will always be number one. But Slumdog did some very ground breaking things even with the subtitles.
@cbg: I think it’s that high for me as well. I just really have to think it through with all of the others I feel like are up there.
