I was not one of them, I’m shallow enough…I didn’t need any extra encouragement lol, BUT there are women who commit suicide, develop eating disorders and a whole host of other insecurity issues just because they want to fit into the “ideal” category that men have put these women in.
This thing goes much deeper than just being “eye candy” for some.

Men who have daughters (but subscribe to this pixie dust) what about the little girls who think this is attainable perfection. Some of the proportions are OFF THE METER. One of the main reasons why I was pissed about Karrine’s first book is that she had the pic of her and her son in there…. I personally felt like that pic should have not been in there. Furthermore, when I looked up Esther Baxter… I found out this chick was married and got a son… She’s seperated now…. But still shouldn’t she be toning down the pics for the sake of her son???? 80’s, I have personally driven out of town 2 hours away, with a smile on my face walked up to my daughter’s father’s house, rang the doorbell and when he answered handed him her mini suitcase.
She stayed for a week. I gently kissed her and told her that mommy would be back at the end of the week to get her. He hadn’t seen her in over 2 months, and although that was almost 4 years ago, sometimes you do what you have to. Also my daughter lived with her father for a year while I did the 7-day/week real estate thing…and as a mother it wasn’t easy letting her go, but I had to position myself better to provide for her when he disappears…which is often.

No. Sometimes it be’s like that. no easy ways. I didn’t read the book…was he abusive to the kid? What’s “not up to par”? Everyone does not raise their children the same way – does not mean anyone’s standard is above the others.
At the end of the day it’s not easy being a single parent…the last thing our children need is to be privy to the skantankerously nasty shat that some choose to engage in on the side.

I understand what yall are saying. Teacia, I know that you left your child knowing that she would be safe. And true I don’t know the character of the father of yall children. However, I’m assuming that they don’t fall into the same category as Karrine’s child father. He just didn’t come off as a fatherly figure due to some of his actions that were mentioned in the book….
So the point that I was trying to make was that she left her child for a long period of time not knowing what the outcome was gonna be. I’m not gonna knock her for her decision because the outcome was not a morbid one or like any of the examples u mentioned. when u leave ure child with anyone, known charcter or not, u risk stuff happening.
Well 80’s…I feel you BUT my daughter’s father keeps a gun on his kitchen stove…I would fuss at him about it all the time. He also has a few recreational activities that I do not agree with, more isses I would fuss at him about, but truth be told he loves his daughter more than his own life and no harm will ever come to her in his presence. I left her knowing that she would be safe b/c he loves her, not b/c he is as good a provider as I am…truth be told he’s not, and probably never will be.
But he got up every morning and cooked her breakfast, every morning…something I had to adopt after the year was over. Yes she’s better dressed with me, her hair is always done and I make sure she has the frilly things that little girls want and need, but some men are totally different men in the presence of their kids. Hell I was jealous of the love and dedication he has shown to her, but Karrine is a bad parent b/c her son will grow up knowing that there isn’t anything his momma won’t do for a fast buck.

It’s hard to be seen as more than that to a lot of men when that is your claim to fame. I personally don’t see anything but what I see and it get no deeper than that. People place WAAAAY to much emphasis on what they see. Men and women place to much emphasis on this. I’ve had women tell me my whole personality just off my appearance. They have an idea of me and will get mad when I behave outside of that idea. This goes the same for men that assume a woman is a freak just because she is in videos, smooth, king, etc.

i want a boston terrier but im not home alot on the weekends..and i would just feel like a bad doggie parent..when i couldnt take him/her places..and i hate people that schlep they dam@n dogs everywhere.
and i travel every month too for work..so i would need suitable doggie daycare..and im not up for a kennel..i think i would spoil may dog.

That is a cutie..i have a friend who is obsessed with dogs..she says you should only buy from a breeder..and you should REALLY look around the facility making sure everything is sanitary and kosher…

You get someones name.. you buy said gift.. its exchanged at some type of party.. another way is for people to list what they want on that sheet of paper with their name and you buy that item… usually a price is determined in either case.

Everyone draws a number…..#1 picks their gift first and opens it…..If #2 like’s #1’s gift then they can steal it and #1 will have to pick another gift…….. And the game continues like this……The best number to have is #1 because you get to go again once the highest numbers have went….
