Feng Shui Yourself (Living Objects)

***(Update 9/16/08 5:35EST: I pinky swear on my girlscout nature badge from troop 2001 (circa 1986) that all my six fish were sound, healthy and accounted for at press time at approx 21:00 hours. This morning little Rufus Comeback Jones JR passed in his sleep The fish circled above, I suspect was the one to go. Doesn’t he look loopy. He was still alive when I took the pic!!

I promptly replaced him according to feng shui law with Chaka Comeback Jones. May Rufus rest in peace. Namaste (end note)***

Over the next week-, Im going to address Feng Shui and Feng Shui cures. In my heart of hearts I totally believe that feng shui is the quickest way to sustain and/or revitalize almost all areas of your life. And many are very easy to implement.

Feng Shui (feng schway)-Correct energy flow. It applies to your health, work, and relationships as well as to your everyday interactions. As with any ancient, holistic art, the idea of practing feng shui-two little words that conjure up a big approach to living-can seem a little intimidating at first. Yet, at its core, feng shui is simply about feeling good and prospering in your life…Because feng shui is not a religion , it does not interfere with any spiritual beliefs. It is used to create positive energy , internally and externally in a way that nurtures you and your life goals. (Feng Shui Your Life-Jayme Barrett)

As long as I have been a foodie, I have been fascinated with Asian restaurants. Before I knew what feng shui really was, I saw it flawlessly executed in some of the most successful Thai, Japanese, and Vietnamese restaurants. And it was in their use of aquarium fish. Some of the most beautiful features I’ve seen were actually built into the floor (clear aquarium in which you walk on).

“Fish are the fruit of the sea; they represent money. Most Asian restaurants have an aquarium to secure profits. If a home doesn’t have a view of the water, place a fish bowl or aquarium in it. The most auspicious locations are in the south east (wealth) or north (career) bagua of the home. Aquariums in business also has double meaning for protection. The ideal number is 9. which symbolizes eternity or strength. Six fish can also be used in a smaller tank.” (Health, Wealth, and Balance Through Feng Shui- Elaine Finster)

@ Get…thanks for visiting. I am loving YOUR blog btw. I must add though if by science you imply a degree of difficulty Im a little on the fence. There are some applications that take YEARS to get down and many schools of thought differ on approach. I do believe however that most is very simple and easy to apply …particularly when the intent is there..some include space and clutter clearing, infusion of color, other water treatments, scent, …

I enjoy Comeback Girl! I also believe in Feng Shu and have not been able to find a cure for my parents house which is located between a road and several railroad tracks. I am very concerned about their house. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.
