Hi Comebackers
So now I find myself in the beautiful Mile High Dever. It’s high and dry. But surprisingly not that cold (todays high is 56 degrees. Even when I came back from MIA, DC was warm. I hope this ain’t no Al Gore prophecy about the warming of the earth.
This is my third time here over the last 7 years. I wouldn’t say that I would come here for pleasure-but its not the worst city I’ve ever been to on business. Actually I can’t even think of one I really hated. I even liked Birmingham Even as I thought about its painful and deadly civil rights history, I was hell bent on hating the city. But I couldn’t. I loved some of the architecture. The old homes near the downtown area.
Now there’s only one thing to do before I hit the office. And that is venture into Starbucks. Would you believe Comeback Kids, that an easy espresso (machiotto, cappuccino, etc) does not taste the same everywhere? New Mexico’s and Dallas FW is so watered down you wanna slap a barista. Its not their fault. Maybe its a cultural thing. I have heard that a lot of Texans like their coffee really really weak. New York and DC is like liquid crack heaven.
I don’t play about my coffee. With a good cup, I feel like I could solve all the world’s problems. With a great one I feel like I could be President. That’s powerful when coffee can make you feel differently about yourself. Or maybe that makes your ass crazy!!!!
